Adobe Photoshop 5.5

In June 1999, Adobe released Adobe Photoshop 5.5 bitmap graphics editor. Windows and Macintosh versions were launched simultaneously.

Photoshop 5.5 also included Adobe ImageReady 2.0, a program designed for working with web graphics. Another new feature of Adobe Photoshop 5.5 was Save For Web, which allowed designers to compress images for the web.
