Internet Explorer 6.0

On August 27, 2001, Microsoft released Internet Explorer 6.0. The browser was shipped with Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 and was also made available for Windows NT 4.0, Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows Me.

In 2004 IE 6.0 gained more than 80% market share and became the most popular web browser.

Internet Explorer 6.0 contained a wide range of innovations and enhancements such as Auto Image Resizing, Image Toolbar, Media Bar, Print Preview, Search Companion, Security Zones, Content Advisor, Manage Cookies, and more.
